The vision of a globe disarming rather than ever more destructive weapons in quantity and capacity was a founding goal of the United Nations. Actor Henry Fonda was one of an original group of Diplomat-Artists who employed his art and celebrity to further this goal. While associated with so many American classics from “The Grapes of Wrath” to “Fort Apache,” Henry Fonda had the perspective of a global citizen as well. Fonda grew up into an America shaped by not only two global wars but the dangers to family and democracy from depression and economic injustice.
